Best Article: Get Your Child to Talk
During one of my first five tips to better listening, we talk about remembering to be present and available in ways and at times when the other person wants to talk.
Parenting Pro Michele Borba, Ed.D., has brilliantly captured a quick list of those ways and times of being available. In her article, "14 Ways to Get Your Kids To Tell You About Their School Day," she described exactly what I mean by being present and available.
Ms. Borba's article is not only for parents about their children. It can easily be translated into guidance for How to get spouses to talk, How to get bosses to communicate, How to get employees to tell you what they think, and How to get customers to tell you what they need.
It's a great read!
