Scene: She holds in one hand coins, bills, and credit cards. With the other hand she clutches her daytimer and pencil. Her eyes turn imploringly to the camera. "Got life?" she says.

Too many eyes, including my own too often, speak of low energy and diminishing life forces.

For me one helpful solution is to feed myself live foods, or phyto-nutrients, that is food that has the life still in it, food that has not been killed. I try to eat most of my food as nearly natural as possible. In addition, I try to eat much of it as nearly alive as possible.

Fresh vegetables and fruit, when crunched and mixed with saliva in the mouth, release directly to the human system the most potent, vital, and abundant form of phyto-nutrients possible. In-season carrots, spinach, grapefruit, and apples are examples of excellent sources of still-alive food.

Mine is not a totally "raw food diet." If I get plenty of phyto-nutrients otherwise, I can go ahead and cook my potatoes or pinto beans very thoroughly.

I find that the abundance of energy released into my sinuses and saliva during chewing is more potent than the larger amount I could consume by juicing.
